Gary Lynn Weatherly

Funeral services for Gary Lynn Weatherly, 65, of Baskin, LA were held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at the First United Pentecostal Church of Rayville, LA with Bishop Robert Stroud and Pastor Stacy Thomas Jr. officiating. Interment was in the Pleasant Hale Cemetery, Baskin, LA under the direction of Brown-Holly in Rayville, LA.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at the First United Pentecostal Church, Rayville, LA.

Gary was born on November 24, 1957 to Bill and Baby Weatherly and passed from this life January 15,2023 at his home in Baskin, LA. He spent his days working in the garment factories.

He found the love of his life in 1997 and turned his house into a home. He enjoyed being outside and spending time with his family. He had 2-fur babies, Sam and Pig, that he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Baby Weatherly, and his only sister, Carolyn Armstrong. Also, brothers-in-laws, Terry and Bubba McIntyre and a very special friend, Ethel "Maw" Floyd.

Gary is survived by his loving, caring, amazing soul mate of 25 years and wife of 9 years, Kim Weatherly. His only daughter, Nichole "Pooh-Bear" Weatherly Bryant and husband Richard of Baskin, LA. His pride and joy that his world revolved around, his grandkids, Macie and Nate Bryant. His "adopted son" Floyd "Bubba" Browning of Baskin, LA. Also, a stepson, Matt Thomas. Other loved ones left are sisters-in-law, Kathy Bethea and Judy Davis both of West Monroe and a very special brother-in-law, Kevin McIntyre. He also left brothers, his twin, Terry Weatherly and wife Jeanette of Georgetown TX, Scotty Weatherly and wife, Carla and Mike Weatherly and wife, Wanda, all of Baskin, LA. Also, numerous nieces and nephews along with a few great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Jeremy Davis, Jonathan Moore, Richard Cook, Paul Allen, Jimmy Wilhite, and Alvin Edwards. Honorary pallbearers were Richard and Nate Bryant, Mike Fuller, Floyd Browning and Mike Allen.
