Funeral services for Garnold “Peck” Delano Wilson, 86, of West Monroe, LA were held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Abundant Life Full Gospel Fellowship Church, Start, LA with Bro. Joey Davidson officiating. Interment was in Rayville Masonic Cemetery, Rayville, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.
Garnold was born December 11, 1938 in Mangham, LA and passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025 in West Monroe, LA.
Peck graduated from Columbia High School and Louisiana Business College. Peck worked at Saia Motor Freight and after retirement, he worked as a carpenter’s helper for Richard Martin and Mike Shannon. Peck loved everyone and was loved by everyone in return. He enjoyed attending church, spending time with family and friends, traveling, gardening, cooking, music, playing card and board games, telling stories, and writing poetry. Peck was a loving father, a faithful friend, and follower of Jesus. He was a lover of the old ways. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmitt and Gladys Wilson; brother, Willie Wilson; sisters, Harriet Jane Wilson, JoAnn Welch, and Laverne Bennett; and infant brother, Billy Ray Wilson.
Survivors include his daughters, Faith Wilson of West Monroe, LA, Dawn Dick (Michael) of St. Louis, MO, and Amy Wilson of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Cory Howe, Dakota Livingston, and Jaxson Lawson; brother, Lynn Wilson, Donald Wilson (Jennie), Danny Wilson, and Russell Wilson (Rhonda); sisters, Patsy Lee and Charlotte Smith (Joe); special friends, Judy Parker, Barbara Wilson, and Nelda Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Kevin Bennett, Kevin Day, Cory Howe, Brian Smith, and Bryson Smith.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to go to Abundant Life Full Gospel Fellowship Church, Start, LA.
