Funeral services for Emma “Flo” Thompson Brown, 82, of Lake Providence LA will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, in Oak Grove, LA with Bro. Leslie Yates officiating. Interment will follow to the Lake Providence City Cemetery, in Lake Providence, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, in Oak Grove, LA.

Ms. Flo was born on October 7, 1942, in Longview, TX, and passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, in West Monroe, LA. She attended Forest Baptist Church; she was a member of AARP of East Carroll parish where she served as the past president. She enjoyed gardening and most of all being a caregiver for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ms. Flo is preceded in death by her husband, Maxie Ray Brown, Sr.; parents, John Wesley Thompson, Sr. and Emma Lee Wilson Thompson; sisters, Bobby Bamburg, Gracie Mae Jessep, Ruby LaFern McGee; brother, John Wesley Thompson, Jr.; grandson, Steven Dewayne Smith, Jr.; and great grandson, Cash Smith.

Survivors include her children, Stacey Lee Smith of Lake Providence, LA, Steven Dewayne Smith, Sr. of Lake Providence, LA, Michelle Marie Coleman and husband, Scott of Lake Providence, LA, Kay Brown of Hattiesburg, MS, Nanette Havard of Gilbert, LA, Raymond Brown of Conway, AR, Maxie Brown, Jr. of Lake Providence, LA; 19-grandchildren; 20-great grandchildren; and 2-great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Dalton Smith, Storm Collins, Cody Smith, Tyson Havard, Phillip Stillwell, Patrick Fife.

Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, in Oak Grove, LA.
