Funeral services for Dr. Dennis Herrington, 71, of Rayville, LA were held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 9, 2018 at Boeuf River Baptist Church, Rayville, LA with Phillip Davis officiating. Interment followed in the Greer Cemetery, Rayville, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.
Dr. Herrington was born February 8, 1947 in Clinton, MS and passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018 in Rayville, LA.
Dr. Herrington was the pastor of Boeuf River Baptist Church in Rayville for several years. It was his first pastorate and his current at the time of his death. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Mildred Herrington.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Cindy S. Herrington; children, Brian Herrington and wife, Christie; Brittney Rayner and husband, Matt; Ashley Johnson and husband, Todd; John Patrick Herrington; grandchildren, Brett Eli Herrington; Shyne Matthew Rayner; Vada Rayne Johnson; Colden Coolidge Johnson; siblings, Rick Herrington and wife, Brenda; Cheryl Herrington Jones, and husband, Mike; and Sheila Durrett; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers were Jay Jones, Jeff Jones, Jevin Brown, Steve Adcock, Arnold Adcock, Donnie Adcock, and James Chowns. Honorary pallbearer was Ronny Woods.
