Funeral services for Doris Fleming Boies, 89, of Archibald, LA were held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the Archibald First Baptist Church, Archibald, LA with Bro. Rex Barker, Bro. Bruce Cardin, and Bro. Brandon Penton officiating. Interment followed in the Prewitt Cemetery, Mangham, LA.
Mrs. Doris was born May 7, 1930 in Archibald, LA and passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020 in Archibald, LA.
Mrs. Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Boies; parents, David and Louemma Rushing Fleming; brothers, Marvin, Bill, and Emmitt; sisters, Gladys, Ruth, and infant sister.
Survivors include her children, Lee Boies and wife, Carolyn Martin; Robbie Emanus and husband, Thomas; grandchildren, Shelly Ann Boies, Amber Boies Koppel and husband, Matthew, Joshua Lee Boies, Andrew Jacob Boies, Robbie “Cecelia” Hunter, John Robert Hunter, John Barren “J.B.” Hunter, Windy Taylor and husband, Ronnie, and Jody Renee Smith and husband, Rocky; 17-great grandchildren; and her sisters, Sue Gibson and Lorraine Sanders
Pallbearers were Thomas Emanus, Eddie Martin, John Barron Hunter, Perry Fleming, Evan Hunter, and Randy Joiner.
Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Fleming, Tommy Garrison, and Dylan Patric.
