Don King

Funeral services for Don King, 77, of Oak Grove, LA were held at 9:30 A.M., Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, in Oak Grove, LA with Bro. David Ford officiating. Interment followed to Oak Grove Cemetery, in Oak Grove, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Oak Grove. 

Mr. Don was born on January 2, 1946 in Oak Grove, LA and passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023 in Oak Grove, LA. He enjoyed playing his guitar and making up songs as he played. He loved to make people laugh. He is preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Roxie King; and brother, Robert King. 

Mr. Don is survived by his best friend, Eva Kindrix of Oak Grove, LA; 2-brothers, James King and wife, Joyce of Greenville, MS and Odale King and wife, Marla of Oak Grove, LA; numerous step children; and step grandchildren. 

Pallbearers were Yancy Putman, Waylon Putman, Rowdy Putman, Wade Putman, Dewed Gregory, and Kayden Gregory.
