Dolores Yvonn Guiterrez Obituary

Funeral services for Dolores Yvonne Guiterrez, 87, of West Monroe, LA were held at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 7, 2025 at The Community Baptist Church, West Monroe, LA with Bro. Danny McIlveene officiating. Interment was in Mulhearn Memorial Park, Monroe, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mrs. Dolores was born August 31, 1937 and passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025 in West Monroe, LA. Dolores Guiterrez, a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and faithful servant of the Lord, peacefully met her Savior on July 1, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Dolores was a woman of unwavering faith, quiet strength, and enduring grace. A longtime member of Community Baptist Church, she faithfully worshiped, served, and built lifelong friendships within her church family. Her love for others shone brightly in every aspect of her life—always putting others before herself, loving deeply, and giving generously.

She found joy in camping at Lake Claiborne, trips to the mountains, gardening, thrifting, and, most of all, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Dolores loved the outdoors and the simple pleasures of life. She is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband of 65 years, Pete Guiterrez.
Dolores’ legacy of faith, love, and strength will continue to live on in the lives of all who were blessed to know her. While we grieve her passing, we rejoice in knowing she is now healed and whole, resting in the presence of her Lord and Savior.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Pete Charles Guiterrez; parents, Zoe and Oscar Fuller, Sr.; and siblings, Dora Jean Dieter, Faye Abbott, and Carol Sutton.

Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Mills, Pam Martin and husband, Ricky, and Rhonda Lowery and husband, Roy; 7-grandchildren; 9-great grandchildren; and siblings, Oscar Fuller and wife, Carol and Margaret Kirby and husband, Larry.

Our family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Community Care Clinic for their many years of care and support. We are also grateful for the compassionate care provided by Georgia Tucker, West Monroe Guest House, Elara Caring Hospice, and Brown Holley Funeral Home. Each played a meaningful role in walking alongside our family and caring for her with dignity and grace.

Pallbearers were Dusty Myers, Jace Myers, Chris Smith, Jacob Brister, Richie Martin, and Nathan Messer.

Visitation was from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Monday, July 7, 2025, at the Community Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA.
