A celebration of life for Mrs. Diann S. King will be held from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel in Rayville, LA. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
Diann was born May 11, 1952 in Snyder, TX and passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024 after a lengthy illness.
Diann was an LPN for 39 years at Richardson Medical Center. She enjoyed riding motor cycles, traveling and sightseeing, visiting 43 states. She loved to snow ski, water ski, and to fish. She was an avid reader (James Patterson was her favorite author); she enjoyed cooking and needle work. She sang in the choir and taught Sunday School for the youth. She especially loved her flowers, watching the wildlife and watching her fur baby Walker playing. Diann never met a stranger and would do anything she could to help people.
Diann is preceded in death by her beloved son, Todd King; parents, Charles and Nell Smith; brother, Robert Smith; and sister, Shelby Turner.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Mike King; grandson, Zackary King; brothers, Donald Smith and wife, Sharrie, Ray Smith and wife, Wanda; and numerous nieces and nephews.
