Delores Lane (Hutto) Townsend

Funeral services for Delores Lane Townsend, 74, of Oak Ridge, LA were held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Start Baptist Church, Start, LA with Bro. Jeff Thomas officiating. Interment was in McKnight Cemetery, Holly Ridge, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Delores was born November 13, 1950 in Monroe, LA and passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025 surrounded by her family at her residence in Oak Ridge, LA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, C.H. and Vyrtis Hutto; sisters, Pat Turberville, Doris Maxwell, Dorothy Sanders, Maggie Melear, and Wanda Neathery; brothers, L.C. Hutto, Arthur Hutto, Donald Hutto, and Oneal Hutto.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, George Townsend; daughter, Audra Brown (Billy); granddaughter, Addison Brown; sister, Sherry Hutto; nieces and nephews, Beverly Bertinot, Stanley Sanders, Kenneth Sanders, Dennis Sanders, and Lawanna Folse.

Pallbearers were Brad Moreland, Mike Sanders, Floyd McCormick, Stanley Sanders, Oneal Hutto, and Steve Neathery.

Honorary pallbearer was Owen Rockett.
