Graveside services for David Howell Stewart, 65, of Bastrop, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 6, 2025 at the Riverview Cemetery, Monroe, LA with Bro. Joe Weaver officiating under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mr. David was born April 3, 1959 in Monroe, LA and passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025 in Bastrop, LA surrounded by his family.

David had Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology and an Associate of Science in Nursing. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed antique pocket watches, vintage fountain pens, Star Trek, science fiction, and all kinds of music. He played trumpet in high school, college, and also played the piano and organ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Wilma Stewart and brothers, Harry Dee Stewart, James “Jim” Scott Stewart, and Jerry Win Stewart

Survivors include his wife, Carmen Steigman of Paris, AR; sons, Logan Howell Stewart and wife, Katie and Landon David Stewart and wife, Heather; daughter, Lauren Elise Stewart Little and husband, Matt; grandchildren, Piper Stewart, Skyler Stewart, Harper Jane Stewart, and Jace Stewart; mother of his children, Mary Pauline Jones Stewart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
