David Alton Singley, Sr.

Funeral services for David Alton Singley, Sr., 72, of Rayville, LA were held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Church of Christ, Archibald, LA with Bro. Karl Huff and, Matthew Okolichany officiating. Interment was in the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Rayville, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville, LA.

Mr. David was born January 7, 1951 in Rayville, LA and passed away Monday, December 11, 2023 in Rayville, LA.

Mr. David retired from the Department of Transportation. He enjoyed going hunting, fishing, and playing golf. David loved his family and spending time with them. He was a veteran with the U.S. Army and a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Alice Singley; sister, Patricia Harrison; brother-in-law, Noble Wayne Hutson; niece, Tracey Hutson; father-in-law, Noble Wayne Hutson; step father-in-law, Son Carter; and mother-in-law, Bobbie Jean Hutson.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Donna Hutson Singley of Archibald; son, David Singley, Jr. and wife, Hope of Archibald; grandchildren, Hailey Singley, Landon Singley, Kaleb Singley, and Rowan Singley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Kirby Phillips, Travis Stephenson, Talmadge Deer, Stevie Gray, Rubin Wilson, Brac Williams, and Buddy Tyler.  

Honorary pallbearers were James Toney, Gage Hutson, Brody Hutson, Chance Fleming, Chris Fleming, Haydon Hutson, Michael Hutson, Dee Hutson, B.J. Hutson, and Jessie Hutson
