Funeral services for Chaline Harris Towers of Rayville, LA were held at 11:30 AM, Monday, November 13, 2023 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville, LA with Bro. Charles Ellzey officiating. Interment was in the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Rayville, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.
Charline was born November 9, 1934 in Arden, TX and passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023 in Bastrop, LA.
Charline was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and mamaw to her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Towers, Jr.; parents, Charlie and Dollie Harris; son, Jimmy Wayne Towers; sisters, Faye Hux, Mary Lee Hux, Zelma Stephenson, and Patsy Mason; and brothers, Charlie Harris and Vic Harris.
Survivors include her daughter, Dollie Atkins of Monroe, LA; sons, Clyde Towers, III and wife, Carol of Phoenix, AZ, Jerry Towers and wife, Charlotte of Dunellen, FL, and Tim Towers and wife, Karyn of Tucson, AZ; 12-grandchildren; 28-great grandchildren; 1-great-great grandchild; host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Clay Atkins, Jordan Towers, Ayden Towers, Trevor Towers, Will Large, and Kevin Hux.
