Funeral services for Charles Edward Spruell, 89, of Dallas, TX formerly of Rayville, LA werre held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the Rayville Methodist Church, Rayville, LA with Bro. Darryl Tate and Bro. Aaron Carpenter officiating. Interment was in the Mulhearn Memorial Park, Monroe, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mr. Charles was born October 11, 1933 in Rayville, LA and passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023 in Dallas, TX.

Mr. Charles graduated from Louisiana Tech, and began a career with Magnolia, later Mobil Oil, that spanned 37 years. He was a member of the Rayville Methodist Church, Rayville, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie A. Spruell and Zula Mae Wells Spruell.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Nelwyn Jones Spruell; daughter, Paula S. Spruell; sister-in-law, Carol Sullivan; numerous cousins; several nieces and nephews; and special great nephew, Justin Sullivan.

Pallbearers were David Head, John Mulhern, Justin Mulhern, Leo Cumpton, Charles Zachary Bingham, and Justin Sullivan.
