Charles C. "Shorty" Babcock

Funeral services for Charles C. “Shorty”  Babcock, 96, of Pioneer, LA were held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Goodwill Baptist Church in Goodwill, LA with Bro. Daniel Goodman and Bro Lucas House officiating. Interment was in the Campbell Cemetery in Pioneer, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Oak Grove, LA.  

Mr. Charles was born on February 1, 1925 in Winnfield, LA and passed away on March 7, 2021 in Pioneer, LA. He was a member of the Clear Lake Baptist Church.

Survivors include his sons, Danny Babcock and wife, Gail and Tim Babcock and wife, Peggy; daughters, Cathy Bryan and Beth Buise Copes; grandchildren, Jeffrey Babcock and wife, Emily, Jeremy Babcock and wife Laura, Jason Buise and wife, Laura Kathryn, Michael Buise and wife, Tonia, Joshua Bryan, Matthew Bryan, Kaylee Babcock, and Mackenzie Babcock; 6-great grandchildren; sisters, Marcile Matheny and Jean Scoggins; and a host of nieces and nephews.    

Pallbearers were Jeffrey Babcock, Jason Buise, Joshua Bryan, Matthew Bryan, Michael Buise, and Roy Sanches.

Honorary pallbearer was Jeremy Babcock.
