Carol Jones Sullivan

Funeral services for Carol Jones Sullivan, 87, of Rayville, LA were held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 2, 2024 at the Start Baptist Church, Start, LA with Bro. Jeff Thomas officiating. Interment was in the Start Cemetery, Start, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mrs. Carol was born December 24, 1937 in Jonesville, LA and passed away Monday, December 30, 2024 in Rayville, LA.

Carol was a longtime member of Crew Lake Methodist Church before moving to Start Baptist Church. She was the office manager of Rayville Producers Gin for nearly 50 years. She never missed a ball game of Justin’s. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Leonard Sullivan; parents, Paul and Jewell Jones; brother, Paul Jones, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Charles Spruell.

Survivors include her grandson, Justin Sullivan and wife, Jyssica and their children, Cooper and Bennett; other family members, Shauna Cumpton and husband, Leo and their children, Charles, Peyton, and Madalyn; sister, Nelwyn Spruell and her daughter, Paula Spruell; son, Brad Sullivan and family.

Pallbearers were Jared Williams, Shane Middleton, Mark Giesbrecht, Brandon McQuillin, James Waldron, and Bradley Parker.

The family would like to say a special thanks to her care giver, Sue Blanchard and to the staff of Colonial Manor, Passages Hospice, Dr. Kevin Carlisle for taking great care of Mrs. Carol.
