Funeral services for Billy Don Barmore “Goat Roper”, 79, of Mangham, LA were held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 5, 2024 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville, LA with Bro. George Bates and Bro. Steven Rainwater officiating. Interment was in the Gwin Cemetery, Mangham, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mr. Billy was born November 24, 1944 in Rayville, LA and passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024 in Winnsboro, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Benton and Mable Inez Hill Barmore; brothers, Thomas “Sonny Boy” Benton Barmore, Harold Barmore, and Leroy Barmore and sisters, Bena Ward, Frances Terry, and Maggie Lytle.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Sharon (Phillips) Barmore of Mangham, LA; children, Lisa Foster (Robert) of Bernice, LA, Cheryl Jackson (David Watson) of Baskin, LA, and Tracy Dear (Terry) of Rayville, LA; grandchildren, Trey Foster (Allie), Michelle Foster, Rachel Foster, Amanda Lockwood Jackson (Kody), Emily Wilhite (James Jarrell), Dylan Lockwood (Hunter Davis), Justin Dear, and Ethan Dear (Savannah Toney); great grandchildren, Morgan, Grayson, Carson, and Tatum Foster, Amayah West, Isabella Delgado, Kammie Jackson, Nash Wilhite, and Indigo Lockwood; Tucker, Kaysen, and Mason Dear; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Trey Foster, Dylan Lockwood, Justin Dear, Ethan Dear; son-in-law, Robert Foster; and special friend, David Watson. Honorary pallbearers` Terry Dear and Harold Barmore, Jr.
