Betty Jane Poole

A memorial gathering for Betty Jane Poole, 75, of Kilbourne, LA will be held at 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M., Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Brown-Holley Funeral Home in Oak Grove, LA. 

Ms. Betty was born on January 5, 1948, in Burney, CA and passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023 in Oak Grove, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Harold Poole; son, Shelby Eugene Ashburn; raised by her grandparents whom she considered her parents, Guy and Tiny Lee Townsend; sisters, Verdi “Sissy” Morgan, Diane Doss, Dorothy Hall, and Ebby Sheppard; brother, Albert Townsend; and best friend, Marcia Leder Green. 

Ms. Betty is survived by her, daughters, Leslie Wilson and husband, Albert of Baton Rouge, LA and Christy Lynn Poole of Kilbourne, LA; 7-grandchildren, Josh Ashburn and wife, Rachel of Kilbourne, LA, Whitney Russell and husband, Cody of Kilbourne, LA, Brett Nolan of Bastrop, LA, Shelby Lynn Ashburn of Oak Grove, LA, Phillip Daniel Eubanks of NC, Rue Nichols Nolan of Bastrop, LA, Lesley Travis Nichols Nolan of Bastrop, LA; 15-great grandchildren and one on the way, Tripp Wilder Russell; siblings, Thomas Dungan, Wayne Dungan, James Dungan, Debra Tremper, and Darlene Bartholomew.
