Funeral services for Bette Naomi Watts, 87, of Start, LA were held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 24, 2025 at Crew Lake Methodist Church, Start, LA with Bro. Marshall Sevier officiating. Interment was in the Start Cemetery, Start, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Bette was born July 12, 1938 in Alexandria, LA and passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025 in Monroe, LA. She was preceded in death by her son, Darryl Lynn McLaughlin; granddaughter, Whitney McLaughlin; parents, Joe and Bertha Ball; and sister, Jean Aulds.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Aubrey Watts of Start, LA; children, Joseph Craig McLaughlin (Yukiko) of Bend, OR, Michael Sean McLaughlin (Jan) of Mobile, AL, Patrick Claude McLaughlin (Anne) of Wichita, KS, and Timothy Clay McLaughlin (Rhonda) of West Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Katie Baugh (Jimmy), Michael Sean McLaughlin, Jr. (Zara), Erin McLaughlin (Nick Johansen), Craig McLaughlin (Karina), Naomi McLaughlin, Nick McLaughlin, Shannon McKee (Brennan), Hannah McLaughlin, and Brendon McLaughlin; 7-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Brendon McLaughlin, Michael Sean McLaughlin, Jr., Craig McLaughlin, Kevin Eppinette, Jeffrey Davis, Jason Davis, and Austin Davis.
