Mr. Alton was born September 21, 1934 in Crowville, LA and passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023 in Rayville, LA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joy Ann Finley Wallace; parents, Ernest Wallace and Lula Arcola Beaube Wallace; brother, Ernest Wallace, Jr. and wife, Thelma Greer Wallace; brother, Alvin Wallace and wife, Cora Mae Key Wallace; sister, Dessie Mae Wallace Kelly and husband, Cecil Kelly; brother, Frank Wallace and wife, Verlene Wallace; sister, Bessie Nell Wallace Pierce and husband, Artis Lee Pierce; and brother, Samual Wallace and wife, Nora Parker Wallace.

Survivors include his children, Michael Jake Wallace of Hemphill, TX, Randal Gene Wallace and wife, Connie Wallace of Mangham, LA, and Sonya Deneen Wallace Elliott and husband, Gene Elliott of Delhi, LA; grandchildren, Matthew Mooney and wife, Cindy Mooney of Delhi, LA, Heather Mooney Cura and husband, Freddy Cura of Houston, TX, Rachel Wallace Ellington and husband, Kevin Ellington of Sterlington, LA, Lee Wallace and wife, Jennie Wallace of Monroe, LA, Jaquelyn Wallace Smith and husband, Chris Smith of Sumrall, MS, Cameron Wallace Randall and husband, Brian Randall of Prairieille, LA, and Addison Renea Wallace of Watson, LA; great grandchildren, Braylon Cura, Gabriel Cura, Aaliyah Joy Cura, Emersyn Rose Smith, Sawyer Wallace Smith, Adaline Claire Randall, Scarlett Quinn Randall, Eli Ellington, Carson Ellington, Whitt Ellington, James Ellington, Sadie Ellington, and Sawyer Wallace; brothers, Carl Wallace and wife, Maxine Wallace and Jerry Wallace and wife, Becky Wallace; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
