Memorial services for Aja Diamond Smith Capers, 34, of Oak Grove, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, September 13, 2024, at Brown-Holley Funeral Home Chapel, in Oak Grove, LA with Bro. Paul Ninemyre officiating under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Oak Grove. 

Aja was born on October 7, 1989, in Monroe, LA and passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024, in Monroe, LA. She is preceded in death by her father, John Wesley Smith, Jr.; paternal grandparents, John Wesley Smith, Sr and Bertha Mae Smith; maternal grandparents, Douglas E. Dark and Betty Jo Dark.

Survived by her husband, Mason Capers; children, Boston Knox Pardon and Liston Case Capers; stepchildren, Greyson Capers and Cameron Capers; mother, Barbie Smith (Stacy Dartlon); sister, Ali Smith (Shannon Haley); favorite aunt, Jeanne Styron; mother-in-law, Cindy Shelton; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M., Friday, September 13, 2024, at Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Oak Grove.   

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
