Maxie Eppinette

Funeral services for Maxie Eppinette, 65, of Start, LA were held at 10:00 AM, Monday, December 2, 2019 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville, LA. with Bro. Bentley Curry officiating. Interment followed in the Start Cemetery, Start, LA.

Maxie was born September 21, 1954 in Rayville, LA and passed away Friday, November 29, 2019 in Rayville, LA.

In the early 1980’s, Maxie worked a term with the Richland Parish Sheriff’s Department.  He retired from truck driving after 30 years and later he retired from farming. He loved watching Sage and Dusty play baseball, as well as, loved to facetime with Kayla and her boys. Maxie was an avid LSU and Saints football fan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Allen Edward Eppinette and Hattie Faye Cumpton Eppinette; and brother, Sidney Cleveland Eppinette.

Maxie’s Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Sheila Adams Eppinette of Start; daughter, Kayla Eppinette Caskey and Kyle of Detroit, MI; son, Dustin Allen Eppinette of Start; grandchildren, Sage Allen Eppinette of Start, Olsen Caskey of Detroit, MI, and Kolten Caskey of Detroit, MI; sister, Ginger E. Bowman and Ken of Hammond, LA; brother-in-law, Guyon Adams and Lori of Rayville; mother-in-law, Katie Adams of Rayville; and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Pallbearers were Larry Bennett, Kevin Eppinette, Leo Cumpton, Dewayne Clement, Jeff Davis, and Mitchell Reddick. Honorary Pallbearer is Sid Eppinette, Jr.
