Houston "Little Buddy" Curry

Funeral services for Houston “Little Buddy” Curry, 75, of Start, LA were held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville with Bro. John Skinner officiating. Interment followed in the New Salem Cemetery, Girard, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mr. Bubby was born October 3, 1942 and passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018 in Start, LA. He was a member of the Assembly of God faith. He served as a constable in Start, LA for over 30 years and Start School Crossing Guard for over 20 years. He was also employed at Start Mart for many years. Mr. Bubby was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Cora Curry and son, Oscar Ray Curry.

Survivors include his wife of 48 plus years, Irene Curry of Start, LA; daughters, Ann Carr and husband, Paul of Epps, LA; Sue Frith and James Ivy of Start, LA; grandchildren, Helana Carr of Epps, LA; Raelyn Carr of Epps, LA; special cousins, Bentley Curry and wife, Sandy of Start, LA; Mike Funderburk and wife, Nikki of Start, LA; and special friend, Renea May of Start, LA.

Pallbearers were Alvin May, Scotty May, Brian Leon, Mark Parker, Mike Funderburk, and Richard Williams.

Honorary Pallbearer was David Taylor.
