Funeral services for  Donald Hugh “Hoot” Green, 92, of Pioneer, LA were held at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 13, 2019 at the Dunn Baptist Church, Dunn, LA with Bro. Eddie Fuller and Bro. Bernard Duchesne officiating. Interment followed in the Faith Memorial Cemetery, Delhi, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mr. Hoot was born July 9, 1927 in Dubach, LA and passed away Monday, December 9, 2019 in Pioneer, LA.

Mr. Hoot was a member of the Dunn Baptist Church, Dunn, LA. He is preceded in death by his wife, Hattie Melvina Green; 5-brothers and 1-sister; and his great grandson, Aaron J. Green.

Survivors include his children, Hugh J. Green and wife, Janie of Pioneer, Donald R. Green and wife, Brenda of Mounds, LA, and Dianne Southall and husband, Michael of Warden, LA; 9-grandchildren, Hugh “Jabo” J. Green and wife, Rene` of Amarillo, TX, Lonnie N. Green and wife, Lori of Dunn, Melissa N. Green of San Antonio, TX, Kelli Finney of San Antonio, TX, Todd Southall of Warden, Scott Southall and wife, Amy of Dunn, Kevin Green and wife, Kim of Vicksburg, MS, and Tammy Watts Crutchfield and husband, Jesse of Fayettville, TN; 12-great grandchildren, Kyla N. Green, Hunter N. Green and wife, Kennedy, Gunner Green, Mikayla Southall, Allyson Southall, Creed Southall, Peyton Southall, Mason Watts, Bailey Watts, Bailey Watts, Katlyn Green, Kaly Green, Jackson Reed Green; 5-great-great grandchildren, Haelyn Green, Drakelynn Green, Zaydan Green, Fisher Green, and Tucker Green; and special friend, Jennifer Thompson and Rene Jackson.

Pallbearers were Wayne Green, Buddy Green, Jerry Green, Jimmy “Cowboy” Green, Ralph Green, James Green, and Michael Green.

Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Paul Grandon, Dr. Assad H. Mouhaffel, Dr. George Edwards, Delhi Home Care Group, and Crossroads Hospice Care Group.
