Memorial services for Billy Ray Bennett, Sr., 80, of Oak Ridge, LA were held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville interment followed in the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Rayville under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mr. Billy Ray was born January 22, 1939 in Rayville, LA and passed away Monday, April 22, 2019 in Alexandria, LA.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Tarver Bennett; parents, Grayson and Annie Mae Bennett; son, Billy Bennett, Jr.; sisters, Robbie Harris and Ruby Tanner; and infant sister, Grace Jewel Bennett.

Survivors include his sons, Archie Wayne Talbert and wife, Rose of Hebert, LA and Trey Bennett, III of Start, LA; daughter, Ramona Bennett of Start, LA; grandchildren, Tara Massingill Sanders, Shelbie Cole, Britney Talbert, Landry Bennett, and Kendal Bennett; great grandchildren, Dawson Reid and Peyton Massingill; and siblings, Buddy Bennett, Everett Bennett, and Shirley Copnhaver; and his daughter-in-law, Megan Jones.
