Albert Earl "Kaline" Patten

Funeral services for Albert Earl “Kaline” Patten, 76, of Sicily Island, LA were held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Pine Hill Baptist Church, Leland, LA with Bro. Harold Tucker and Kenneth Ray Patten officiating. Interment followed in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Leland, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.

On this day November 21, 2018 another angel received his wings.

Mr. Kaline was a devoted worker of the Town of Sicily Island. He was a former member of the Catahoula Parish Ward II Police Jury, Justice of the Peace, and a Supervisor of the Leland Water System and Sicily Island Water System. He was also a member of the Pine Hill Baptist Church.

He was also a blessing to Rayville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and brought many laughs to my second home. I will always love you Daddy. Tina and I will miss you dearly. All is forgiven and we will always miss you barking and naming every dog “5-Dollars”. Thank you for being our Dad.

Mr. Kaline is preceded in death by his father, Reese Patten; mother, Ida Patten; and brothers, Lee Patten and J.C. “Squeaky” Patten.

Left behind is his wife of 40 years, Barbara Patten; beloved daughters, Tina Brandenburg and husband, Mark, Lesia Jones and husband, Josh; and 3-beautiful granddaughters, Tara, Natalie, and Kyrstyn; and his brothers, William Patten and Kenneth Ray Patten.

Pallbearers were Jody Ellerby, Joe Ellerby, John Bird, Joey Coughran, Jerel Evans, Barry Jenkins, Skeet Perkins, and Joey Evans. Honorary pallbearers were Roy Evans, Marcus Evans, Carl Book, and Willard Kassel.
