Robert "Bob" John Weir

Funeral services for Robert "Bob" John Weir, 88, of Rayville, LA were held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Brown-Holley Chapel, Rayville, LA with Rev. Dan Stansbury officiating. Interment was in the Antioch Cemetery, Rayville, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mr. Weir was born February 29, 1936 in Chicago, IL and passed away Monday, April 15, 2024 in Rayville, LA. He was a retired fire fighter and veteran of the US Army. He was also a member of the Fire Fighters Union Local #2 in Chicago, IL.

Mr. Weir is preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Kaye DelRio; parents, Martin and Mary Weir; sisters, Florence Hamilton, Lorriane Johnson; brothers, Chester “Chibby” Weir, Martin “Lefty” Weir, Jr; special aunt, Rose Parks.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Brown Weir; children, Vickie Lynn Ray and husband, Eddie, Tammy Renee Fife and husband, Bryan, Wendy Nicole Donald and husband, Jason; son-in-law, Terry DelRio; brother-in-law, James Brown; 12-grandchildren; 22-great grandchildren; 2-great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Mark Hall, Robert Fulton, Roy Hall, Nick Fife, Cody Fife, and Nathan Hall.

Honorary pallbearers were Josh Gwin, John Fulmer, and Timmy Jinks.

Visitation was held 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville, LA.
